Care and Return of Company Property
You are expected to demonstrate proper care when using Lupin’s property and equipment. No
property may be removed from the premises without the proper authorization of management. If
you lose, break, or damage any property, report it to your supervisor/manager at once. Please also
promptly report equipment or property that is damaged, defective, or in need of repair.
Any property of Lupin issued to an employee must be returned at the time the employee’s
employment ends or upon request from the employee’s supervisor/manager or HR at any time
during employment. The value of any damaged or lost property, or property not returned to Lupin
may be deducted from the employee’s pay, subject to applicable law.
Language Policy
Lupin encourages diversity and inclusiveness in all of its pursuits. This includes employment of
individuals who may speak a language other than English as their primary means of
communication. However, there are specific circumstances when the Company requires that its
employees converse in or take direction and guidance in English. This policy addresses the specific
circumstances where employees must only speak in English due to business necessity.
• English will be used when communicating with customers, co-workers, and other business
affiliates who speak only English. Customers who express a preference for another
language are an exception to this rule.
• All task directions and work directives will be provided in English. Employees engaged in
team-related work efforts or project teams will be expected to communicate in English.
• All safety, facility, and security-related materials and communications will be provided in
English, and team or department meetings that relate to business operations, safety, facility,
or personal security will be conducted in English.
• The use of the Company Internet and intranet, as well as work-related e-mail and other
communications that involve company safety and security matters, customer
communications, specific work teams or projects, and other business-related group
activities, will be in English, unless customer requirements state a preference that another
language be used.
Lupin remains committed to its diversity efforts, which include the use of languages in the
workplace other than English. When specific business and operational requirements necessitate
the use of English, all employees are expected to comply. Employees having concerns or questions
regarding this policy should address them with their immediate supervisor/manager or HR. HR
can also provide a referral to an English as a second language (“ESL”) program.
Employees violating this policy will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including
termination.
