Lupin Employee Handbook

required to cooperate with any emergency procedure, including drills, which are used to measure
the Company’s preparedness in evacuating the facility in the event of an actual emergency.

                       Hazardous Materials

At Lupin locations where appropriate, local rules and guidelines are in place, and will be issued
from time to time, for the handling and disposal of hazardous substances and waste. Training will
also be provided. Employees must learn these rules and guidelines, as strict compliance is required.

STANDARDS OF CONDUCT AND ADDITIONAL WORK RULES

                       Attendance, Punctuality, and Dependability

The contributions of each and every employee are required to make the Company successful.
Unplanned absences or tardiness is disruptive of Lupin’s operations and unnecessarily burdens
fellow employees. Each Lupin facility may designate attendance rules specific to the facility or
particular work positions to ensure efficient operations.

One of Lupin’s basic expectations is that employees come to work regularly and be ready to work
at their starting time each day and upon their return from any breaks during the workday. All
employees are expected to provide their supervisors/managers reasonable notice in advance to
obtain approval for use of PTO. Any unscheduled absence due to illness or personal emergency
must be reported to the immediate supervisor/manager, before the start of the employee’s
scheduled work time if applicable, but no later than two hours after the start of the workday. You
must call in each day of your absence until you return to work, unless notified of a different
requirement in writing by Lupin. A written note from a doctor is required for absences of more
than three (3) consecutive days attributed to illness. Fewer than three (3) consecutive days may
require a doctor’s note at the discretion of the employee’s supervisor/manager or HR.

A careful record of absenteeism and tardiness will be kept by Lupin. Excessive tardiness or
absenteeism will lead to disciplinary action, up to and including termination. Employees who fail
to either report to work or call in for three (3) consecutive work days will be considered to have
               voluntarily resigned their employment.

                       Personal Appearance and Dress Code

You are expected to report to work well groomed, clean and dressed according to the requirements
of your position. Lupin expects all employees to be dressed professionally and conservatively.
While certain attire may be “in fashion,” not all fashion trends are appropriate for the workplace.
Different worksites and job functions may have different rules about acceptable attire ie. R&D
and/or Manufacturing site. Unless you are told otherwise, most employees will be able to adhere
to a business casual dress code. There may be times when more formal attire is necessary, including
certain business meetings and when there are visitors to the worksite.

Below are examples of clothing standards that are appropriate and those that are inappropriate.
These are just examples; neither group is intended to be all-inclusive.
