Lupin suggests that you consider whether your choice of attire may create a distraction in the
workplace, whether it raises any health or safety concerns, and whether it creates an impression
that is less than professional. For example, long sleeve shirts are more professional than short
sleeve, and short sleeves are always preferred over sleeveless. Always avoid low necklines, shirts
that leave the mid-section exposed, short skirts, and shorts of any kind.
Remember that others, rightly or wrongly, may form impressions about your work abilities and
performance based in part on your choice of attire. If there is any question in your mind whether
an article of clothing is appropriate for work, err on the conservative side and select something
else. It is always better to be overdressed than underdressed.
Conflicts of Interest and Outside Employment
Employees must never use their positions with Lupin for private gain, to advance personal
interests, or to obtain favors or benefits for themselves, members of their families, or any other
individuals, corporations, or business entities. Likewise, no employee may solicit or accept gifts
of significant value, lavish entertainment, or other personal benefits from vendors, suppliers, or
competitors if the acceptance of such a gift could potentially create a conflict of interest. Special
care must be taken to avoid even the impression of a conflict of interest. In addition, employees
may hold outside employment under certain circumstances in which it does not interfere with the
