P. 3
Day 2
“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” - Psalm 30:5
Life is unpredictable, to an extent. There are people we have relationships with and not
everybody follows Christ. In addition to that, this world is racked with sin and sickness. We can
take precautions, but it is no guarantee that you won’t get sick or have an accident sometime in
life. In this fallen world, where can you turn when you are worried and fearful... Or grieving? Or
depressed? When you are not sure who you can rely on, go back to the promises of the Word of
God and put your hope in Him. God does not give us promises that He doesn’t keep. Unlike
your friend, your brother, or even your mother who may not be reliable, our God is a promise
keeper! Jesus said in John 16:33, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have
overcome the world.” So when you are sick, worried or afraid something might happen, the one
person you can go to and be certain He won’t let you down is Jesus! No matter the
circumstance and no matter the outcome, He will be there right beside you. And no matter how
dark it gets, follow His Word and there will come a time when the darkness breaks. You will see
the light again and you will experience the joy He promised you!
