Ethnicity and Race Data are not
Collected
CBC reports that many universities promote diversity in their communities;
however, universities do not collect information on their racial diversity of
students, faculty and sta . The university outsources and collects data from
third party surveys that target certain groups of students, except for indigenous
students. The University can benefit from collection of this data to better
understand diversity of the student body and to e ectively target issues
regarding inequalities as well as racialization.
