REHABILITATION LEAVE
Amy’s Drive Thru is committed to providing assistance to our employees to overcome
substance abuse problems. The Company will reasonably accommodate any employee
who wishes to voluntarily enter and participate in an alcohol or drug rehabilitation
program. This accommodation may include time off without pay or an adjusted work
schedule, provided the accommodation does not impose an undue hardship on the
Company.
You should notify your manager or the Human Resources Department if you need such
accommodation. Amy’s Drive Thru will take reasonable steps to safeguard your privacy
with respect to the fact that you are enrolled in an alcohol or drug rehabilitation program.
TIME OFF FOR VOTING
In the event an employee does not have sufficient time outside of working hours to vote
in a statewide election, the employee may take off up to two hours of working time to
vote without loss of pay. This time must be taken at the beginning or end of the regular
work schedule, whichever allows the most free time for voting and the least time off
from work, unless otherwise approved by your supervisor. Where possible, your
supervisor should be notified of the need for leave at least three working days prior to
the election day, but in no event less than two working days in advance. Your
supervisor may ask you to present a voter’s receipt before you are paid for voting time
off.
TIME OFF FOR SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
Employees who are the parents, guardians or custodial grandparents of school children
from kindergarten through Grade 12, or of children who attend licensed child day care
facilities, are provided up to 40 hours of unpaid time off per year or eight (8) hours in a
calendar month to participate in school or day care activities. The Company may require
proof that you participated in the school activities.
Employees must use accrued vacation or take unpaid time off for this purpose.
Reasonable notice must be given to the supervisor or manager before taking any time
off for this purpose. In addition, parents or guardians of school children who have been
suspended are permitted to take unpaid time off to appear at the pupil’s school pursuant
to a request from the school.
MILITARY SERVICE LEAVE
Unpaid Military Service Leave is available to all employees who are members of the
Uniformed Services of the United States, including the U.S. Military, Reserves, National
Guard, Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service or the state military forces,
