BURNHAM CULTURE
A Great Place to Work
Burnham is consistently recognized as a workplace of choice. Each year since 2013, we have received “Best
Places to Work” awards nationally from Business Insurance magazine, and regionally from the Orange County
Business Journal, since 2011, and the North Bay Business Journal since 2015.
Progressive Company Culture
The Burnham team prides itself on operating much differently than your average brokerage firm. We are
highly collaborative, and revel in a culture that allows employees to blossom into the best possible version of
themselves. Burnham truly understands the importance of work-life harmony, encouraging employees to get
involved in the community and offering flexible schedules.
Green
Our headquarters are located in one of the few LEED-certified buildings in Orange County. All Burnham
locations operate with a green procurement policy that encourages waste prevention, recycling, and using
environmentally preferred and recycled products whenever possible. We also strive to eliminate unnecessary
plastic and paper associated with food and beverages by using filtered water, silverware, ceramic plates and
mugs, and glasses.
Socially Conscious
We are a Certified B Corporation. Certified B Corps are a new kind of business that balances purpose and
profit. We are legally required to consider the impact of our decisions on our colleagues, customers, suppliers,
community, and the environment. We are proud to be part of a community of leaders, driving a global
movement of people using business as a force for good. B Corp certification doesn’t just prove where we
excel now—it commits Burnham to consider stakeholder impact for the long term by building it into our
legal structure.
The Burnham Way | Meaningful Acts Making an Impact
Philanthropy is central to the culture at Burnham. As a certified B Corp, we understand the
importance of giving back and are highly involved in both the local communities where Burnham
offices reside and the overall social well-being of others. The company encourages employees
to give back through meaningful charitable service projects and by offering an annual $500
charitable donation match.
