THE WORRY BOX
Another useful tool in eliminating worry is to use what I call a “WORRY BOX”. It
is a simple idea, but because it is tangible, this exercise works miraculously. Here’s
what you do:
Put a small basket or cardboard box on your desk or at the kitchen table. You’ll want
to put it in the area of your home or office where you spend the most time worrying.
Now make a small sign that reads “ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!” and affix that to
your worry box.
When you come across seemingly insurmountable obstacles or anything that causes
you to fret, write it on a piece of paper and throw it in to the box. Leave it in there for
2 or 3 days and don’t think about it until you take the item out of your box. When you
do finally remove it from the worry-box you will see that the problem doesn’t seem as
overwhelming as it did in the beginning. Now you will be able to tackle this problem
with ease. Good luck.
