Page 74 - Creeative Thinking
P. 74
If you truly desire to change your life you must have a plan. The previous three
chapters were designed to clear the way toward a change in your life. Now that you
have discarded some of the garbage in your path, you can start to work on preparation
to transform your future. To create a positive change in your life you must use
positive thoughts simultaneously with positive actions. As well, it is vital that you not
only think positive, but that you verbalize your feelings in a positive way, too. Below
is a list of phrases that you may find useful in your endeavour:
I am I feel
I can I want
I know I believe
You can use these phrases when you are focusing on thinking positive about certain
distressing situations. The words I have chosen do not allow any room for negativity.
Instead, they force you to examine the more positive side of a situation. The more
often you consciously use words such as these right now, the easier it will eventually
become to use them on a daily basis without even thinking about them. When using
such affirmations, it is important that you use them in the present tense. Here are
some examples:
DO SAY: DO NOT SAY:
I am handling it. I cannot handle this
I am doing this. I hope I can do this.
I am looking for a job. I will get a job
I am quitting smoking. I should quit smoking.
These affirmations, when combined with the Action Formula are a sure-fire way of
effectively making positive changes to your life.
The Action Formula for change is as follows:
POSITIVE THOUGHTS + POSITIVE ACTIONS =
POSITIVE OUTCOME
