ADDITION OF MONEY

We add money figures in the same way as we add numbers. We write the given

amount one below the other in columns, for rupees (`) and paise (p), respectively.

While adding money figures, remember to place the point in the answer
leaving two digits from the right.

Add ` 1 .35, ` 8.25 and ` 2.60.

Step 1. Add paise.
