2017 OSCO FOUR YEAR SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS







                                                                   Katie Chleboun
                                                                   Store #3429 - Niles, Certified Pharmacy Technician
                                                                   North Park University

                                                                   Katie feels that Pharmacists play a vital role in the health care system today
                                                                   that goes beyond just dispensing medications.  Katie believes that by
                                                                   educating patients on the use of their prescriptions and medication therapy
                                                                   decisions, she will be creating a much more healthy and happy society.  At
                                                                   North Park University, Katie is an active member of the Pre-Pharmacy club,
                                                                   Kappa Delta Pi National Honor Society and an academic honors athlete for
                                                                   the University’s tennis team.  Katie is currently majoring in health science
                                                                   with a minor in education to better prepare herself for Pharmacy school.
                                                                   After graduation, Katie plans on pursuing a registered Pharmacist position at
                                                                   Jewel-Osco and looks forward to continuing to make a positive impact on the
                                                                   community and business.

          Devin O’Malley
          Store #3107 - Oak Lawn, Drug Scan Coordinator
          Saint Xavier University

          Devin is committed to her work and has recently taken on more
          responsibility as a full-time scan coordinator while pursuing her degree.
          Devin has served her community for many years, volunteering her time in
          various roles for Miracles Happen Baseball, an organization that serves
          children with special needs. She describes the experience as “rewarding” and
          is thankful that she can take part in such an important special event within
          the community. Upon graduation, Devin plans to continue to work at Jewel-
          Osco to allow her the ability to continue to “learn, grow, and gain
          experience” in the hopes to prepare her for a management opportunity.
