2017 OSCO FOUR YEAR SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS
Taylor Hewitt
Store #3394 - Huntley, Certified Pharmacy Technician
Carthage College
Taylor is described by her Store Director as a “quick learner and always eager
to learn new things within the Pharmacy Department to help improve
customer satisfaction.” Taylor continually strives to improve the overall
health of her Pharmacy patients, working hard to ensure they receive their
necessary medications. She has also made a considerable impact in her local
community, spending over 130 hours of her spare time in the last year
helping to raise money and clothes for families in need. After college, Taylor
plans on applying to Pharmacy school to obtain her PharmD. Her goal is to
become a Pharmacy Manager for Jewel-Osco.
Tahir Razzaq

Tahir’s friendly personality, inquisitive nature and strong willingness to help
others, makes him an ideal team member for the Jewel-Osco Pharmacy.
According to his Store Director, Tahir is always highly motivated, eager to
handle any of our customer questions and has received numerous customer
compliments. Outside of work, Tahir spends most of his time volunteering at
the North Shore Skokie Hospital, where he’s given over 150 hours of service!
In school, Tahir enjoys taking on leadership roles in on-campus organizations
such as President of Students against Destructive Decisions, Editor-in-Chief of
the North Star News and Research Assistant for Researchers and
Investigators of Tomorrow.
Once Tahir graduates with his pharmacy degree, he plans on transitioning
from a Pharmacy Technician to a registered Pharmacist position at Jewel- 35
Osco.
