2017 JEWEL TWO YEAR SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS

Nathan is an active member in his community by serving as a coach for a
youth basketball team. He describes this experience as extremely valuable as
it has given him the opportunity to serve as a positive mentor to the young
members in the team. He credits this experience for helping him develop his
skills as a leader and influencing him to work harder to achieve his career
goals. Nathan plans to continue a career at Jewel-Osco where he can apply
his learned leadership skills in the store management trainee program in
hopes of advancing his professional career.

Dominique Loisel

College of Lake County

Dominique’s energy and entrepreneurial spirit embodies our excellence in
customer service. According to her Store Director, Dominique is not afraid to
take initiative in the store. Whether providing customer service, driving sales,
or even running the Floral Department, Dominique takes pride and
ownership of her work. Her leadership also extends into the community
where she spends considerable time volunteering with Feed My Starving
Children and Northern Illinois Food Bank. After graduation, Dominique plans
on continuing her career with Jewel-Osco and hopes to eventually be
considered for opportunities in the Pharmacy Department. 30
