2017 JEWEL TWO YEAR SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS
Dillon Witecha
Store #3394 - Huntley, Cashier
McHenry County College
Dillon is the kind of person who does something for others without the
incentive of monetary award. He spent over 100 hours last year
volunteering for his local park district, made meals for the homeless, and
supported special events at his local Middle School. Dillon’s Store Director
describes him as “someone who will always go the extra mile for our
customers and sets a great example for Front End employees.” Dillon plans
to pursue a store management career at Jewel-Osco where he is excited to
develop his leadership skills.
Rasa Kazuraite
Store #3451 - Barrington, Floral Manager
Oakton Community College
Rasa is self-motivated to help grow the floral business at Jewel-Osco. Her
Store Director explains that Rasa is always looking at new and creative ways
to attract more sales and impress customers. Recently, through the support
and encouragement of her Store Director and Floral team, Rasa organized a
wedding show in her store. The event was a success as she was able to
secure and book four weddings. This success prompted Rasa to enroll in her
local college to learn more about Wedding Planning. Her goal is to expand
her knowledge and bring more wedding business to Jewel-Osco. 28
