2017 JEWEL FOUR YEAR SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS
John Brandt

University of Illinois at Chicago
While earning his Bachelor’s Degree, John serves countless hours
volunteering in his community as a mass participant in his church as well as
serving as a team lead during a parish retreat. This experience allows him to
inspire and be a mentor for others. John is enthusiastic about his future at
Jewel-Osco where he hopes to continue growing within the organization,
gaining a variety of experiences in management where he can apply his
business degree to help the company achieve success. John is described by
his Store Director as having “potential to climb the ladder for any position he
sets his mind on.”
Kyleigh Cramer

Ball State University
Kyleigh juggles many commitments today between school, work, and
volunteering, she still finds time to make a difference. In the community,
Kyleigh enjoys sharing her knowledge and passion for dance. In the past
year, she has dedicated her afternoons to local Middle School students,
teaching and providing choreography support with their newly formed dance
team. At Jewel-Osco, her Store Director feels that she’ll be a successful
leader one day, basing this on her positive attitude and natural ability to
engage with customers and co-workers. After graduation, Kyleigh plans on
continuing her management career with Jewel-Osco and expressed interest 26
in pursuing Public Relations.
