Focus

I was so focused on my IGCSE Mathematics exam because I wanted to get a perfect

score which would get me on top. Accordingly, it would’ve helped my application to
university by giving me a certificate along with my satisfaction. The math teacher was

warning us the whole time “If you take your exam earlier it will be easier than later on”. It

was so near to the exam date. Therefore, my hard studying began. My daily

schedule followed the patter of "wake up-math-sleep" and repeat.

I almost forgot every other subject due to my crazy daily studying

activities.

My main focus was to finish at least one paper a day, check my answers and mark my improvement.. I

couldn’t even pay attention to how my classmates were doing due to the pandemic. I thought they were

also following the teachers advice and studying hard.

Nevertheless, the teacher didn’t allow most of us to take it earlier. Even though I really wanted to. I

couldn’t. So, I had half a year to study again. From what I saw, I understood I
should help my classmates as much as I could.

When I was helping or teaching math to my peers, I also improved

myself.

Before I was only focusing on my studies but after I began to

focus on helping my mates’. Finally I thought I was fully prepared.
During the exam, all the questions looked similar but a perfect score wasn’t as easy as I

thought. In the end though we got acceptable points. I felt satisfied.
