Chapter 3

Letting God Have All of Me

After Charles became impatient and lost his temper with his
coworker, he quickly asked the man to forgive him for what he
said and the way he said it.
After speaking unkindly, Charles talked with his friend
George, who told him, “Charles, I know that you believe in
God and that you have accepted his Son, Jesus. When you
became a Christian, God forgave the wrong things you had
done, and He entered your life. But, you are still missing
something. You need to have your heart made totally clean.
God wants to take away the tug of war within you to do
                                wrong.”
Charles found that even though he was a Christian, he had a
battle in his mind. He wasn’t in control of some of the bad
things he thought and said and did. God wanted to show
Charles that He could change his heart. God wanted to help
Charles not to have to fight so hard with choosing to do the
right thing. God wanted to give Charles the strength to win the
                                tug of war.
Charles read a Bible verse that told him what God could do
in his life. “I will give my people hearts that are completely
