Mr. Rafeek Khan

r. Rafeek Khan was born in Georgetown, Guyana and immigrated to the United States of America in 1986. He
holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Southeastern University specialising in
MInternational Business.

Rafeek began his career at age 22 managing retail convenience stores in the Washington, D.C. area and Orlando,
Florida.

Mr. Khan is the Managing Director and founder of several successful companies located in Guyana, South America and
the United States of America. The companies in Guyana are Woods Direct Inc., Durable Wood Products Inc., and
DuraVilla Homes Guyana Inc. The US Company is Woods Direct International LLC, which serves as the marketing and
distribution division. Each company is designed to specialize in its area of strength that includes Sawmilling,
Manufacturing, and Distribution.

Rafeek is the Co-founder of Superior Shingles & Woods Products Inc. in 2011, which was his rst manufacturing
opportunity in Guyana. He sold his interest in this company in 2015. He also served from 2012-2014 as the Managing
Director of Willems Timber & Trading Company LTD (WTTC), a largescale logging company rst established in 1933.

His interest in International Business culminated with the opening of the Southic Corporation in 1999. Southic
Corporation grew from a trading company, offering to the multi‐national group of afliated companies tropical
hardwood products from the sustainably managed forest concessions located in his country of birth Guyana.

Rafeek actively participates in product development and diversication with a strong emphasis of reaching
international markets. He is passionate about leadership development and empowering people to reach their
maximum professional and personal potential. His passion for empowering people goes beyond the workplace as he
serves in training and developing of leaders in several countries. He also serves as the President of Light Stone Partners
which is a non-prot organization in the USA. Rafeek primarily resides in Orlando Florida with his wife and two
children.
