Page 4 - RFDS - What is it like

Hello. My name is Eliza and this is my place. I am 9
years old and turning 10 in a few weeks. I am really excited
for my birthday because I will be double figures. My mum
and dad are going to make me a cat cake.

I have a seven-year-old brother and a two-year-old brother.
I have a mum and dad and I love them heaps. We go on
lots of outings together and have lots of fun. I have four
chickens and their names are Chickoletta, Precious, Hattie
the Hen and The Kernel. My brother and I actually sell the
eggs and we use the money to buy the chicken food. I also
have a kitten called Milly and she is a tabby cat. My aunty
rescued her and 3 of her siblings during the bushfire.

I have lived in the same town and house all my life.
Victoria is a beautiful place and we go exploring as

much as we can. We have a river nearby that we
walk around or bike ride often. There’s lots of trees
and sometimes the sun reflects on the water and
it sparkles. Along the river, there are hundreds of

bats living in the trees. They have a yucky smell
but I can handle it.

We don’t have to travel very far to get to the beach
or the snow in winter. We even have a shipwreck
we can visit that isn’t too far away and I love

collecting shells and playing in the water.
