P. 6
My name is Jack and this is my place. I am 10 years old. I
was born in Queensland and moved to Tasmania when I was 5.
I have a big brother, Evan and a little sister, Ella. I also have two
cats, Mace and Mabel and two dogs, Holly and Hugo.
Tasmania is a lot colder than where I lived in Queensland. In
our house, we have a fireplace that we keep going all winter.
When we go outside to play in winter, we have to put on our
jackets, beanies and boots.
Autumn is very pretty here because the trees change colours
before they lose their leaves, but I like winter the best because
we get to go to the snow where I can ride my toboggan. We can
see the snow on the mountain from my house.
Across the road from my house, we have a sheep farm. There
used to be horses there too. Next to the sheep farm are
vineyards. There are lots of wineries near our place. Behind our
house, we have more sheep and some alpacas.
We live just outside the city where I go to school. I am in
grade 5. I really like my school and I have lots of friends
there. My best friends are Harry, Harry, Oscar, Mac and
Remi. I enjoy playing soccer, going mountain bike riding
with my dad and swimming. I go to swimming training
most afternoons and some mornings.
