P. 5
If you came to my house, you would see a big
lemon tree. I made a wooden swing all by myself
that hangs in it. We have a big backyard and my
brother sometimes rides his motorbike around it.
We have a chook house for our hens and a
Guinea pig house for our kitten. My dad is very
happy because we have a big shed and we have
a bungalow that our family that visit us sleeps in.
I have a room to myself but my brothers have to
share.
We are home-schooled and each day is different. I love my mum as my teacher and she comes up
with good ideas to teach us. We do lots of baking which I love and I even want to be a chef when I
grow up. One time, my brother and I cooked my nana (my mum’s nana) quiche for lunch and yoyos
and cupcakes for dessert and took it out to her house to eat together. We interviewed her, asked her
lots of questions about growing up a long time ago, and discovered she was alive during WW2. It was
very interesting.
The activities I enjoy are reading
books. That’s my absolute favourite
thing to do. Feeding and playing
with the animals, cooking and art. I
love playing on my poppy’s farm,
which is only 15 minutes from my
house. We have been visiting there
more often because of recent times
and we have been exploring all over
the property.
While we have been at home a bit more than normal I have been busy doing on line art classes,
designing a tree house to build at my poppy’s and next year we want to travel somewhere in Australia
for four months so I have been reading about places I want to visit and making lists. I have been bit
lonely and miss my girl guides and sewing lessons. I really miss kids club too and going to the pool.
We don’t get to visit many people anymore and I am looking forward to this happening again and my
sewing lessons to start.
