                                           The  Bandaranaike  Research  Hub  was
                                           established at the Bandaranaike Centre for
                                           International  Studies  (BCIS),  for  the
                                           preservation  of  the  legacy  of  the
                                           Bandaranaike  Prime  Ministers  and  their
                                           contribution to Sri Lanka, the South Asian
                                           region and the international community.
                                           The Bandaranaike Research Hub strives to
                                           collate  all  information  pertaining  to  Hon.
                                           S. W. R. D. Bandaranaike and Hon. Sirimavo
                                           R.  D.  Bandaranaike  to  enable  researchers
                                           and students of International Relations to
                                           be  able  to  engage  in  deeper  study  and
                                           analysis of their policies, their contribution
                                           and  presence  on  the  national  and
                                           international spheres.
                                            The  irst of its kind in Sri Lanka, the BRH is a
                                           collation  of  information  pertaining  to  the
                                           two  Prime  Ministers,  including  key
                                           newspaper clippings, letters, photographs
                                           and  videos  as  well  as  bilateral  and
                                           multilateral Agreements, Joint Statements
                                           and documents related to their periods as
                                           Prime Ministers. It is available in English,
                                           Sinhala  and  Tamil  and  would  enable
                                           researchers to assess a wide spectrum of
                                           information.
                                           This  latest  innovation  in  improving
                                           International  Relations  education  and
                                           research  was  launched  by  President
                                           Chandrika  Bandaranaike  Kumaratunga,
                                           Chairperson of the S. W. R. D. Bandaranaike
                                           National  Memorial  Foundation,  and  Ms.
                                           Sunethra  Bandaranaike  on  Wednesday,
                                           02nd May 2018 at the BCIS. The keynote
                                           address  at  the  launch  was  delivered  by
                                           Ambassador  Jayantha  Dhanapala,  former
                                           UN Under Secretary General.
