BCIS Thinkers Series
The BCIS Thinkers Series which was created in 2017 serves as a platform for dialogue on philosophers and
their contributions over the centuries, and ills a vacuum in the tertiary sector for debate and dialogue on
philosophy.
On 17 January 2018, the speaker at
the BCIS Thinkers Series was Dr Athula
Samarakoon, Senior Lecturer from the
Open University of Sri Lanka, who
spoke on 'Introduction to Kenneth
Waltz” .
"Habermas and the idea of a Critical
Social Theory” was the topic of
Dr Charitha Herath, Head, Department
of Philosophy, University of Peradeniya
at the BCIS Thinkers Series on 11 May
2018.
