• Human Resources must receive the completed application and it must be approved before
signing up for the course/training.
• Course/training must be relevant and beneficial to GESMN, the applicant’s current position or
their future development.
• Individuals who have received corrective action (a CAP) for any infraction other than
attendance or have been on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) in the past 12 months are
not eligible to apply for a scholarship, unless the course is a recommended action of the
PIP.Applications may be found on GoodPoint and sent to training@gesmn.org when completed.

PAYING FOR COURSES
It is the responsibility of the individual receiving a scholarship to follow Accounts Payable processes and
timelines. Original invoices and receipts should be sent to Accounts Payable and copies sent to
training@gesmn.org.
INVOICES
GESMN’s preferred way of paying for courses/training is through an invoice. Employees should submit
an invoice to Accounts Payable using account 8450-130-999-999 with appropriate approvals.
APPROVAL LEVELS
• Below $250 Manager only
• $250 - $2,500 Director approval required
• Greater than $2,500 Chief Officer approval is required.

CORPORATE CARD
In the event a credit card is required, employees should make arrangements with a corporate card
holder in their department. It is the responsibility of the cardholder to obtain and submit receipts when
