What’s changing for 2019?
• As was previously communicated, the $1,000 deductible medical plan is being eliminated. GESMN
continues to offer two medical plan options with lower premiums which offer an employer HSA contribution (if
you are eligible and open an HSA account). If you are currently in the $1,000 plan, please review the
information in this guide and take advantage of the resources listed below so you are well informed of your
choices for 2019. You will be required to make a new election or decline coverage during open enrollment.
• In an effort to keep your employee premium increase to a minimum, Hospital Indemnity coverage will now
be offered as a voluntary (employee paid) benefit. Please be sure to elect this benefit during open enrollment
if you are interested in this coverage. Current enrollment elections will end 12/31/2018.
• Dental insurance is moving from MetLife to The Standard. This allowed us to keep the dental costs down,
as you will see only a very slight increase. Review information in this guide related to the dental provider
network to determine if your dentist is covered in this network.

What’s not changing?
• There are no plan design changes for in-network coverage on the $2,700 and $3,000 medical HSA plans.
Please refer to the Summary of Benefit Coverages (SBC) document on the Insider and Ulti to view changes
to out-of-network coverage.
• GESMN will still contribute to your HSA savings plan if you enroll in a GESMN medical plan ($500 for
employee only coverage and $1,000 for employee +1 or more coverage)
• Your premiums in the following plans remain the same: vision, life, AD&D, disability, critical illness and
accident coverage.
