Introduction

Hot air balloons have always been a fascinating and captivating sight in the world,
and recently, for the first time, Sarawak will host the Borneo Balloons Fiesta at Dataran
Stadium Negeri in Petra Jaya. This report summarizes the findings of the promotion to
attract tourists. The report also discusses the solution to promote Sarawak through this
fascinating event to lure the tourist. Sarawak has recognized its peculiar and diverse histo-
ry. I decided to bring the element of culture to promote the festival in order to preserve
and value the culture so that the local could also enjoy this festival alongside the visitors
learning their culture. Unfortunately, because of Covid-19 the festivals have now been
postponed. The Borneo Balloon Fiesta, initially s cheduled for 11-12 April at Stadium
Negeri, Petra Jaya, was postponed until further notice. The present Covid-19 outbreak
made it difficult to forecast the situation at the scheduled dates of the incident. Though
we look forward to organizing a spectacular fiesta in Kuching for the first time, the well-be-
ing of the community takes precedence during this phase of health concerns. However,
the organizer is still eager to bring the event back as soon as they receive a favourable
update from the State Disaster Management Committee as they see that there has been
a great deal of opportunity to promote Sarawak internationally.
