YBAM organised the YBAM National-States Joint
Meeting (NSJM) 2021 from 16 September 2021 to
18 September 2021. As the COVID-19 pandemic
continued to worsen, the NSJM 2021 continued
last year's model using the Zoom Meeting platform.
The meeting gathered more than 100 delegates
and observers from the SC and 13 SLCs to plan the
activities for the coming year.
In his welcoming speech at the opening ceremony,
YBAM President Yong Kuei Yoong said that although
currently the activities were mostly held online,
we must all be far-sighted, prepare for the post-

The opening guest of honour cum YBAM Lay Patron,
Dato' Seri Ong Ka Chuan said that YBAM should
explore how we can help the nation in the difficult
period of the pandemic, and demonstrate the spirit
of compassion of Venerable Sumangalo, the father of
the Malaysian Buddhist Youth Movement.
Through the video, YBAM Religious Patron Venerable
