MEETING – 25 AUGUST

The meeting was attended by 13 Members with one apology. It was great
to see Tony L. and John H. at the meeting both having travelled long distances to be
with us.

ACTIVITY REPORTS
Given the recent chilly and windy weather conditions it was no surprise to
see that reports were a bit thin .

Greg told us of his recent eventful trip out of North Haven in which he broke an
anchor rope resulting in the loss of his anchor. That was not the end of the day’s
disasters as his boat hit the concrete boat ramp stern first following a vehicle
breakdown on the ramp and the damage to his s/s propeller was substantial.

Sid gave us a first hand report on his Salmon fishing in Canada and fish present at
various locations on his round the world trip. More detail and photographs appear in
an earlier edition of the Newsletter.

Nick told us of the incidents which occurred on his trip out of OSullivan Beach details
of which appear earlier in this edition. He also told us of the recce that he and Sid did
of the northern fishing areas of Port Gawler, Middle Beach and Thompson’s Beach.
