FROM THE CHAIRMAN
The money which we were granted needs to be spent this month, but our efforts to get new
members, especially service personnel involved in the recent conflicts, will be able to continue. I want
to thank those club members who have put in a lot of effort and time to apply for the grants, do the
required regular reporting, and put in the time needed to spend the money, collect goods etc, or
determine just what the money would be spent on. In particular I would like to thank the TPI Assoc.
for acting as our sponsor. This has meant that they have been actually required to pay the bills, or
refund our members who have paid for goods. Thanks guys. This has been quite a task.
We have the trip to Pt. Victoria coming up from Sept 18th - 22nd. These weeks are usually
productive weeks, and the facilities at Roley's house are very comfortable.
October will be busy with Grandparents Day on the 10th, and then the Punyelroo trip from the
21st - 23rd. This is part of the Veteran's Health Week activities, and should be a fun few days. Try to
keep these days clear. You may not be able to come for the whole time or even stay overnight, but
come for the day time activities.
November should see us cockling again, and Stoney has booked a charter for December. It's
also time to start thinking about a venue for our Xmas function, and whether we were happy with last
years venue.
The weather has to calm down soon, and I hope this means more time spent fishing.
Remember the life jackets - stay safe.
Cheers,
Spud
