How to Onboard at NCR
Team Roles and Responsibilities
Global Onboarding Leader Responsibilities
· Drive Strategy - Take internal data analyzation and pair it with industry trends, new
requirements and decided what is the best strategy to create the best onboarding program
in the world.
· Project Management - We will be rolling out lots of improvements to the First Steps
program and this will require completing projects in a timely manner. The GO Leader must
maintain oversight on all Projects.
· Engage Organizations to Define Opportunities for Improvement - In order to complete
Vision 2020 for the First Steps program we will need to create unique onboarding templates
for our many roles and regions by engaging the different groups at NCR.
· Vendor Management - This role should handle all high level vendor management (DME,
Workday, O365)
· The Guideposts Facilitation -Facilitating the Guideposts includes hosting the sessions.
· Global Live Session Creation - Work to create further live sessions, lunch and learns, meet
your teams, etc. Create a template for teams to use Globally. Create presentations that
anyone can give.
· Guideposts Vision2020 - Change management and strategy for updating the new GPS.
APAC Senior Coordinator Responsibilities
· The Guideposts Facilitation -Facilitating the Guideposts includes prepping for the sessions
by securing a room, inviting attendees, sending out communications, ordering food, hosting
sessions and clean up
· The Guideposts Program Management (New Hires) - The Guideposts needs a dedicated
resource to support our global volunteers who are to be running the sessions. This person
will ensure the quality of the sessions, that all sites have inventory and that managers are
engaged. This role is more tactical, and including staying on top of people around the
world.
· Virtual Welcome Session Content Management - The VHS should be continually updated
with whatever new technologies and changes are made at NCR, including collaboration
SW and benefits information.
· Learning and Development Tasks - This role should understand that Julie will be able to
utilize her in other areas outside of First Steps.
APAC Coordinator Responsibilities
· Global Onboarding Inbox - This shared inbox is provided to new hires ahead of their start
date and receives questions on everything from benefits, to strategy definitions. Moderator
will be able to provide answers or identify who can provide the answers with a positive
attitude.
· Base Camp / The Basics Moderation - Base Camp will be moved to a SharePoint site and
will require maintenance. The moderator for the Basics is responsible for adding new
people into the course, answering questions posted to discussion boards and hosting bi-
weekly Check In calls. In the future, this role will be moderating the community on
SharePoint as well as updating content regularly.
· Data Analysis - What are the most popular Welcome Gift items? What part of the
onboarding process is most unsatisfactory? We have several points of data collection and
must analyze them to make good decisions on future strategy.
