Nature of Vibrations – signals to measure
Resonances and vibrations are very similar in
nature.
Everything has resonances, solid objects in
particular will support a range of resonant
frequencies - usually harmonically related.
All resonances will decay - there are very few
exceptions.
Damping
A model for a decaying resonance is,
