Health promotion and disease prevention

Secondary prevention: it contains early detection of disease to reducing
the high mortality and morbidity in certain disease such as early diagnosis of
hypertension, breast cancer or TB.
Tertiary prevention: can be defined as “all measures available to reduce or
limit impairments and disabilities, minimize suffering caused by existing
departures from good health and to promote the patients adjustment to
irremediable conditions such as prevention of disability and complications of
diabetes.
