Paisa art is not new, for Colombia and the world, but we can say that MEDELLÍN is a

city of artists, where art is not something strange in our Antioquia history, and where
each generation proves it. A sample of this are the abundant theatrical groups of the

city of MEDELLÍN, like El Águila Descalza, is also the Philharmonic Orchestra of Medellin,

considered one of the best orchestras in Latin America, also the great muralist
Pedro Nel Gómez, another is the well-known sculptor Fernando Botero (he has several

sculptures in different cities of Colombia, but his biggest sculpture is in the park

Berrio de MEDELLÍN, popularly called "los gordos de botero" or the "botero botero" and

we find the singer juanes a worthy representative of the paisa culture, where he
remembers

his famous phrase ¨ Medellín is a chimba¨. and other artists of equal importance to the

Antioquian culture. as for the world.
