This school project is for the St
Francis of Assisi for and on behalf of
the Catholic Education Office and is
a Building Education Revolution
Project.

The project involved the
refurbishment of the kindergarten
building, extension of the existing
hall and the construction of the new
library.

This project was staged and
delivered to accommodate the
operation of the school program and
to minimise disruptions to its users.

The main architectural quality of this
building was the truss structure and
raked ceiling lined with timber
paneling.

Central to the new library, was this
carefully hand built truss which
spans the full length of the space.
The truss has been constructed
using recycled timber and is a
wonderful structural element.
