ORGAN DONATION AWARENESS PROGRAM
An Organ Dona on Awareness Program conducted at KLE
th
Hospital on March 17 , 2019 at Anubhava Mantapa during the visit of
Apte kaka, Life missionary for Promo on of Public Awareness
regarding Organ, Skin, Eye & Body Dona on, Member of State level
Authoriza on commi ee (THOA), Maharashtra State. Dr M V Jali, MD

welcomed the guests for the forum.
Organs cannot be manufactured in the factory, and they can only
be received in “Dona on” from Brain-dead person or “Living
Rela ves”. If Organs of all Brain Dead pa ents in India alone are
donated, neither a single live dona on would be required, nor a single pa ent would die for want of organ in the en re
world. The scarcity of Human Organs is mainly due to the lack of Public Awareness. The public should be made aware that all
Religions support Organ Dona on. A er dona on, Organs are harvested, and the donor’s body is returned without any
disfigurement, for last rituals.
The program was concluded by spreading the awareness to all the needy people and Apte kaka, agreed to lead and to
help the KLE Hospital to chalk out a plan for the en re year, to make this a Grand Public Movement.
