Dr Thakur deliberated talk on “Serum - Blood
Biomarkers” & “Urinary Biomarkers” Dr Thakur explained about his innova ve research techniques developed in his
laboratory for early detec on of prostate cancer non-invasively. He detailed the use of urine samples for processing the
specimen and observing under a fluorescence microscope to differen ate between the benign and malignant cells. The KLES
Kidney Founda on, Department of Urology, KLES Dr Prabhakar Kore Hospital & Medical Research Centre, Belagavi, is
pleased to inform that, a sincere a empt has been made to provide a ra onal approach to the common goal of early
detec on, control, and preven on of prostate cancer. A new setup of “KLE-Urologic Oncology Research Centre” is being
started to bring the advancement of cu ng edge technology for early detec on of prostate cancer to improve the
management at an early stage. An honest & sincere effort ini ated for the preven on of prostate cancer at the KLES hospital.
