WORLD LEPROSY AND VITILIGO DAY

Department of Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy observed “World Leprosy Day” on January 30 , 2019 and “World
th
Vi ligo Day” on June 25 , 2019 at KLES Dr Prabhakar Kore Hospital & MRC, Belagavi. Educa onal and informa ve posters
which were displayed in the OPD. A total of 158 pa ents were screened on World Leprosy day but no leprosy cases were
detected and About 15 pa ents of Vi ligo were counselled and were given educa ve pamphlets and also given free
treatment on world vi ligo day. The display was con nued for the en re day and pa ents were informed about Leprosy and
Vi ligo in their vernacular language. Pamphlets regarding the same were distributed. Video about awareness of vi ligo was
shown in the entrance lobby. All the staff members and postgraduate students par cipated in the event.
