of Dr M V Jali & Dr Sujata Jali in offering best of the treatment facili es and services free of cost to the underprivileged
Diabe c children for 19 years.
Dr V D Pa l, Registrar of the KLE University & Senior Paediatrician expressed that, management of juvenile diabetes is a
challenge to the medical fraternity and parents. He advised the parents to mo vate the children to take con nuous
treatment and encourage them to cul vate a healthful lifestyle. Sedentary lifestyle, excessive usage of smartphones,
Television addic on, and consuming junk food has emerged as the significant factors in escala on in juvenile diabetes. He
congratulated Dr M V Jali for the professional support given to all the diabe c children and their parents.
Diabe c children can lead a healthy life like any other
child and will excel in curricular and extracurricular ac vi es
said Dr M V Jali, the Medical Director of KLE Hospital and the
Chief of the KLES Diabetes Centre. He urged the parents to treat
the diabe c child as healthy and prepare him / her to face the
challenges of the world. The KLES Diabetes Centre is
relentlessly working to give a be er quality of life, support and
encouragement to all the Diabe c children. Juvenile Diabe c
should lead a healthy and energe c life is the mo o of the KLES
Diabetes Centre said, Dr M V Jali.
The KLES Diabetes Centre has over 420 registered diabe c
children, and amongst them, 350 children are receiving free insulin therapy since eight years said Dr Sujata Jali, Paediatric
Diabetologist. Master Manoj Malbasari, Chi Yeshaswini, Mother Smt Shilpa Ka received a gold medal for best managing
their diabetes status. Drawing, dance, music, quiz, yoga, medita on and informa on regarding diet were part of the day-
long program. Dr R S Mudhol, Medical Superintendent spoke on occasion. Dr Nandita Pawar directed the programme, and Dr
Sanjay Kambar proposed a vote of thanks.
