UTAH UNIVERSITY, USA KEEN TO COLLABORATE WITH KLES DR PRABHAKAR KORE
HOSPITAL IN EMERGENCY MEDICINE TRAINING: DR PETER, USA
The Utah University of United States of America has
shown a keen interest and desire to collaborate with KLES
Dr Prabhakar Kore Hospital for training and skill developments
in emergency health care services said Dr Peter Tylsock, the
coordinator of the Utah University.
Dr Peter was addressing the par cipants of the medical

workshop on 30 January 2019 on the subject “Emergency
Medicine and Life Support” he was speaking through Video
conference from the USA. He appreciated the quality of
emergency medical / surgical support provided to cri cally ill
pa ents at KLES Hospital. He also lauded the efforts of KLES
Management in acquiring the best of the medical gadgets and infrastructure to handle any emergencies. The research,
innova ons are a con nuous process, and American University is enthusias c about collabora ng with KLES Hospital and
being partners in learning, training and enhance health care professionals exper se through the exchange of knowledge and
skills.
The role of emergency medical professionals in case of accidents and natural disasters is of paramount importance, and
the trained emergency professionals are the strength of the hospital opined Dr Ramkrishna Nair, Emergency Medical
Specialists from the USA. Reaching in the golden hour to the disaster / accident site and shi ing the pa ent with an essen al
life support system to the nearest hospital is the essence of saving a life.
The Hospital is geared up to meet any emergencies and the trained medical, and paramedical specialists of the hospital
are always on alert to handle any emergencies said Dr M V Jali Medical Director of the Hospital. The KLES Trauma &
Emergency Medical services successfully handle most complex polytrauma cases and have given a new lease of life to
thousands of pa ents said, Dr M V Jali. Dr Vijay Bhaskar Reddy, USA, Dr M B Bellad, Dr Hema Pa l, Dr Shashi Uppin, Dr M C
Metgud, Dr Rajesh Powar, Dr R S Mudhol, Dr Rajashekar Somana and over 100 staff of the hospital were present for the
Workshop.

2019. Later, a lecture on “Development of Heart”
delivered by Dr Daksha Dixit, Senior faculty of the
Department of Anatomy on the “Congenital Heart
Disease (CHD)”. Its Classifica on and Clinical
features briefed by Dr Veeresh Manvi,
Inves ga ons in CHD -ECG, ECHO by Dr Prasad M R,
Inves ga ons in CHD - X-Ray by Dr Pradeep Goudar, Senior faculty from the Department of Radiology Department. The
Medical Management of CHD & Interven on con nued over by Dr Veeresh Manvi. A good number of par cipants took part
in the programme.
