The COVID-19 pandemic and the job losses and social
isolation accompanying it have made mental and
behavioral health services more important than ever.

Lutheran Family Services (LFS) of Nebraska is at work
making telehealth counseling and behavioral health
services accessible statewide in Nebraska, as well as

in Western Iowa.

LFS is currently assisting 2,000 Nebraskans with CARES Act applications for help with their
utilities, rent or mortgage and the technology needed so that children can access remote
learning. Large numbers of these clients have never before needed assistance.
