WHY THIS GIFT MATTERS!
Lincoln Bike Kitchen is an all-volunteer nonprofit bike cooperative supported by
donations (bikes, parts, funds). Its mission is to provide - at no cost - bikes, repairs and
education to all. The group advocates for utilitarian biking as a vital part of a healthy,
equitable and sustainable city.
So far in 2022, 900 bikes have been refurbished and donated with cable locks and
helmets. The goal is 1000.
Lincoln Bike Kitchen has excellent partnerships with K-12 schools, community learning
centers and refugee resettlement groups.
Free repairs, use of professional tools and instruction about how to make repairs are
available on Mondays from 5-7 pm.
