                                                   Maher El-Kady carried out his doctoral studies at UCLA
                                                   with Prof. Richard Kaner, who holds the Chair in Materials
                                                   Innovation in the Department of  Chemistry and
                                                   Biochemistry. Before joining UCLA, he had  extensive
                                                   training in physical chemistry during his Master’s
                                                   program at Cairo University. For more than 12 years, he
                                                   has been studying the chemistry and physics of materials
                                                   with applications in energy storage, electronic devices,
                                                   medical and healthcare devices, chemical sensors and
                                                   biosensors, nanogenerators, electronic skin, solar cells,
                                                   water splitting, hydrogen energy, water remediation, and
                                                   environmental monitoring. El-Kady has co-authored 17
                                                   US and international patents issued and pending and
                                                   nearly   50 papers  in  prestigious  journals.  His
                       Dr. Maher El-Kady           groundbreaking   work   on   graphene led  to  the
                                                   development of Nanotech Energy, Inc. where he is leading
                                                   a team of scientists and engineers for developing more
                                                   powerful batteries, supercapacitors, printed electronics,
                                                   nanomaterials, conductive inks, and adhesives. Citations:
