                              Chemistry of New Bioactive Heterocycles and Nucleosides

                                                              ABSTRACT

                    Our research studies for a number of years were directed to study various strategies in organic
                    reactions leading to new routes for synthesis of new mono-, di-, tri-, tetra- and penta- heterocyclic
                    ring systems. Also such studies have been directed to synthesize new nucleoside and nucleotide
                    derivatives.

                    In this  lecture, it will be reported a quick  overview of recent results on  the chemistry  of
                    biomolecules of heterocycles and nucleosides to synthesize various new organic classes such as,
                    pteridines; flavazoles; quinazolino-[1,2-b]-1,2,4-triazines; xanthines;  fused purines (triazolo-,
                    pyrimido- and triazinopurines); fused pyrimidines (1,2,4-triazolo[4,3-a]-pyrimidines, pyrido[2,3-
                    d]-1,2,4-triazolo[4,3-a]pyrimidines,    pyrido[2,3-f:6,5-f`]di-[1,2,4]triazolo[4.3-a]pyrimidines);
                    purine-, oxadiazole-, 1,2,4-triazole, pyrimidopurine and 1,2,4-triazolo[4,3-a]-1,2,4-triazole and
                    some of their nucleosides.
