DOCTOR PROFILE
Thomas Moore, MD, PhD
Profession:
Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon
PhD in Exercise and Weightless
Physiology, Retired Air National Guard
Hobbies:
Skiing, biking, basketball, coaching
kids sports teams, flying, antique cars.
Last Book Read:
The Good Spy, The Life and Death of
Robert Ames. This story is an insightful
history of twentieth century conflict in
the Middle East.
Last Accomplishment:
Getting my family’s business, Moore
Aviation, a flight training school started
with a local community college in PA.
Another accomplishment was having
the coach pitch baseball team that I
coached go undefeated.
Why I do what I do:
As a child, I always liked fixing, making,
and putting things together; I liked
working with my hands. I also had a
love of sports. Orthopedic surgery
allows me to combine these deep
abiding interests with a desire to help
other people into a very rewarding
profession.
Quote: “Anything worth doing
is worth doing right.”
Goals:
Unfortunately, today many practices
are run as a business and may over look
the individual patient. As a business
goal, my practice strives to provide a
personalized approach to our patient
care. My personal goal is to find a
balance between work and relaxation
while still providing unequalled, state of
the art orthopedic care.
