Here at Destin Snorkel we want all our guest to have an enjoyable experience and make lasting
memories so they will keep coming back to see us. As a Destin Snorkel mate you play a big part
in making that happen. There are many responsibilities before during and after each of your trips.
This handbook will discuss what those are. Be sure to read over the material so you know what is
expected of you as a Destin Snorkel Mate.
Always Remember Safety Is Your Number One Concern!
Safety Guidelines
• Only tie o lines to cleats (Do not tie o to railings)
• Make sure all gates are closed during your trips as well as when you leave the boat when at dock
• Make sure boat is tied up correctly at the end of day
• Keep anchors secured in their appropriate spot
• When leaving a location make sure no one is in the water around the boat when underway
• Make sure customers are not wearing ns on the boat or on land after being tted
• Make sure no one is standing on seats or sitting on rails or running on the boat
• Always keep an eye on everyone in the water as well as kayaks
• Make sure no one goes pass the dive ag
• At snorkel spot always have ns, mask, whistle and lifeguard can with you
• No climbing on the rocks and No diving o the boat and/or jumping o the boat in shallow water
Boat and Equipment Maintenance
• Wetsuits cleaned and hung up to dry every day
• Check snorkels and mask and defog every few days
• Wash boat down before and after as well as in between trips
• Scrub boat at least once or every other week
• Bathrooms cleaned before each trip and at the end of day
• Motors washed o at the end of day
• Anchors and lines washed o and put up (Do not leave anchor chain lying on the boat deck)
