The minutes were approved and signed subject to the following changes:

P10 1 paragraph “When government close down on the way the

“The pig industry noticed that more pigs were slaughtered at abattoirs by
informal producers the difference in the formal market when government
closed down on the way the informal settlements sell pigs.

7. MATTERS ARISING FROM THESE MINUTES

7.1 Carcass Classification Johann Kotzé

The Board noted that all the amendments required for the carcass
classification were made. The matter was discussed with and submitted
to SAMIC which will start the application process.

Johann Kotzé asked about the Board’s concept to have the birth-week
tattooed in the pig’s ear alongside with the current tattoo mark. It will
become law after the system is proposed to government.
