People will be selected to live in a house with ‘like-minded people’;
meaning people who share the same core values. Living with
people who share the same core values will support a resident’s
feeling of safety, of being at ‘home’ and in familiar surrounds. It will
encourage more social interaction with those in your household.

All residents (or their representative) will complete a survey which
reveals their core values. Synovum Care invested over $55,000 to
commission McCrindle to define the Australian Lifestyles that takes
into account a person’s ideas on politics, money, religion,
personality, social status etc. The research identified six Australian
Lifestyle Archetypes which are; Modern Innovator, Contemporary
Collaborator, Contemplative Progressor, Traditionalist, Conventional Mainstreamer and New
Conservative.

As mentioned previously Small Scale Houses are domestic style homes designed to be familiar to those
who move in. See some design concepts below for the 3 main lifestyles identified.
