360L FLUID INJECTION SKID
The 360 Litres Fluid Injection Skid (FIS) is an ROV
mounted (underslung), hydraulically powered subsea
skid that is capable of producing fluid pressure of up
to 420 Bar and 20 litres per minute of flow. The skid is
able to draw fluids from reservoir or open seawater.
This skid is designed to be deployed underneath a large work-class ROV
system. Its function is to deliver a certain volume of glycol or water based
fluid via a hotstab. The FIS comprises a high pressure water pump that
draws Glycol (or water based fluid) from four reservoir cylinders that have
360 litres of combined capacity. Each cylinder has one end cap open to Skid Top View
seawater with the other end cap sealed so that it will be filled with seawater
when emptied.
The skid has four outlet ports designed to be used with a dual port hot-
stab. A typical operation that can be performed by the injection skid is the
injection of fluid into a subsea tree connector via one port and returning
fluid through another. The skid is designed to vent the returning fluid to sea
(only for environmentally neutral fluids such as glycol or water) or the outlet
line can be connected to a separate container (not supplied with the FIS).
