Theology

Theology can be classified as a pure and applied science.
It is the science of GOD or of religion. It includes the
study and pursuit of the knowledge of GOD, HIS

existence, character, and attributes. It seeks to
understand, increase knowledge, and apply HIS laws, HIS

government, and HIS doctrines that we are to believe
along with the associated duties we are to practice. It is

the science of Christian faith and life. Theology is the
first pursuit of knowledge and wisdom. It is the science

of GOD and of the relationship between GOD and HIS
creation. It is built upon intellectually and emotionally

held commitments concerning GOD and man.

Theology was once considered the “Queen of all

sciences” since it was correctly believed that all other
pursuits were virtually linked to the dictates of

ALMIGHTY GOD. Many of the world’s most prominent
scientists who lived in prior centuries held this view. For

example, George Washington Carver (renown
agricultural scientist and inventor who helped

revolutionize the agricultural economy of the south),
treated his scientific pursuits in this light. “I love to think
of nature as an unlimited broadcasting station, through

which GOD speaks to us every hour if we will only tune
in.” He also proclaimed, “When I was young, I said to

GOD; ‘GOD, tell me the mystery of the universe.’ But
