Instead  of  continuing  Reverend  King’s  pattern  of

            working through bipartisan support, most of Dr. King’s
            replacements  chose  the  path  of  political  partisanship.
            They  entered  into  a  deep-seated  alliance  within  the

            Democratic Party. This is the same Party that had forged
            and enforced slavery in America.  This is the same Party

            that vehemently opposed its abolition.  This is the same
            Party  that  master  minded  the  Jim  Crowe  era.    And

            finally,  this  is  the  same  Party  that  later  stood  as
            obstacles  to  virtually  every  Civil  Rights  law  that  was

            enacted since the Civil War. Instead of nurturing the bi-
            partisan  unity  that  was  achieved  through  Dr.  King’s

            work, many believe that this alliance aggravated division
            and discord. But to be objective, let’s look at the results

            that this alliance has produced over the years.

            The Results of the Progressive Alliance

            These observations are not intended to be unreasonably
            harsh  on  these  civil  rights  leaders,  but  to  identify  the

            true consequences of their choices. Soon, the so-called
            “Race Grievance Industry” blossomed into a thriving and

            lucrative  industry.  These  congressional  leaders  formed
            what  is  now  well-known  as  the  Congressional  Black

            Caucus.  Their  loyalties  soon  became  interwoven  with
            those of Progressive Democrats.         This proved to be an
            impediment  for  building  bi-partisan  support  with
